Another bloody picture of Lewis Threadgold. Did you know Manchester City Council is here? Nestled between Lewis's behind and stinking armpit as he tailslides a sick spot that is completely asking you to skate it. Look at all these benches, pure A.S.B.O territory all the while the council pull the plug on potential skateparks like the one in Northenden.

Lewis Threadgold didn't like doing this trick, his self commentary was on the negative side. He kept saying 'urgh I can't do it,' and 'why won't it slide' he done it though, the dirty beast. A back lipper slider elevated mossy block rider

and he spits on things to make them skate better

You see I knew Lloyd would do well and winning the Manchester leg of the Red Bull Manny Mania proves it. Thats why I hide this footage of a sunny day out in Stocky last year from your peepers, waiting till Lloyd came through see? Its only a days worth but shirley its skateboarding and its stupid, must count for something what?

One of my favourite things about skateboarding is the complete disregard it has for concrete. Half the fun is the sound of trucks grinding to dust the stone that most of us take for granted. So when I pulled up to the ramshackle do it yourself secret spot my heart jumped and my feet kissed the ground a little faster as I skipped to what looked like some bricks covered in beautifully mixed with shovels on the ground concrete.

The lads that spent their time creating this masterpiece spend even more time skating it. "The hardest thing is letting the concrete dry,"
The waste ground located in the center of a Northern town is not indiscreet. It's where M.F.I used to be and sure isn't hidden away. This must be the most creative form of vandalism or the best description of the do it yourself "Big Society" crap that the government keep feeding us.
The skaters have built a sweet quarter and kerb set up that is pure freaking fun to skate. The flat bank was drying and they also have some big ideas for whats next. It's good to see the enthusiasm for their own spot, its an inspiriation to all who shred the plank.

The life expectancy for 'M.F.I' isn't so great yet there's always that glimmer of hope that maybe it could be the start of something special and at least it's a damn fine statement.
Like urban guerrillas the boys have done good, skateboarding never felt so real. I hope it works out for the best who knows it might last forever and a day.
